EMOS Electronics was established in 2007 by David Emslie, a time served engineer, frustrated by the ever-increasing amount of write off televisions due to lack of spares availability or when available the cost is exorbitant. We initially began harvesting spares from our own BER items and quickly started contacting like-minded insurance and extended warranty companies. EMOS currently harvest spares on behalf of several companies, including Domestic & General. We rapidly became the market leaders and the UK’s largest supplier of harvested Television spare parts. EMOS offers a nationwide collection service from all service centres within the UK, all items are collected by our own staff and harvested at our service facilities in Clay Cross. All staff are fully trained and carry out rigorous testing before harvesting, also ensuring smart TV data is erased. EMOS have a vast spares holding and any item ordered before 4pm will be dispatched same day for next day delivery. Fast turnaround of repairs is essential part of the process and helps keep the end customer satisfied with the service received. EMOS works closely with several recycling companies in order to ensure all our recyclable waste is recycled in an ethical manner.
Over the past ten years EMOS have built up a great reputation with our trade customers- offering the highest quality, low cost spare parts in the industry backed up with technical support from our time served engineers with vast product knowledge due to the sheer volume of products we see. EMOS offer a no quibble returns policy taking all the risk out of repairs for trade customers. We also believe EMOS is a fantastic tool for the trade in general, as EMOS also offer board repair services for those difficult to find products and we will go the extra mile to source spares if required. Our ethos is to supply a second to none service to the brown goods industry and drive down the number of items deemed Beyond Economical Repair (BER)
With so many different makes and models of Televisions in the market place today, it is an almost impossible task sourcing spare parts. Some manufacturers do not supply spare parts, others regularly discontinue items; or when spares are available the cost is so high a repair is just not a viable option. Also, manufacturers like Samsung and LG are actively closing spares accounts further restricting access to spares. Companies used to rely on suppliers like Charles Hyde & sons, who sadly ceased trading earlier this year and sourcing spares is becoming ever more difficult.
Due to these circumstances, the BER rate is ever increasing and replacement products have to be supplied further increasing cost for companies for products that we believe can and should have been repaired.
By joining EMOS alongside our other suppliers we believe YOU could drastically reduce their BER rate. Currently EMOS, and other service companies that use EMOS as a first-choice parts supplier maintain a BER rate of around 20-25 % where the service network average is 50-60% BER rate. Our model is simple the more like-minded companies we can get to supply items for harvesting the more all companies involved will benefit.
Working with us as a B2B customer we provide high end technical support within all of our working hours (6 days a week) and a direct point of contact to one our NVQ level 3 qualified Customer Services employees.
